I remember in 1988, I was just 20 years old and readying myself to take on the world! In those days I still had no idea what I would do with my life!

I started university, had an apartment & roommate and thought I knew what life had in store for me!! I would eventually learn some very difficult life lessons.

At this age, I would hit a hard enough emotional / mental / physical / spiritual bottom that I began to find ways to slow my drinking and drugging.

I started with the booze and drugs as a young kid. I was about 12 or 13 when I found that I loved getting high. I could turn off my feelings I felt invincible.

So by the time I was 20, I wanted a new life. I discovered that giving up the drink and smoke was not going to be as easy as I thought. I realized that I had a problem.

Eventually everything worked out... it always does...
